The versatility of the pre-amp can provide pristine sustaining cleans to seriously heavy overdrive and everything in between. Harmonic content is rich and sultry due to the individually selected 6SJ7-GT. A compression knob adds control in not only the tubes voice and clarity but the overall feet of attack and response.

A modified three-band Baxandall EQ shapes tone over a wide dynamic range. Audio Eyra’s own reverb circuit with internal spring tank adds subtle thickness and space to each note. Lush tremolo rounds out the effects that are built-in. Reverb and tremolo are controllable by front panel switches or supplied foot switch. The Customer can also upgrade output tubes to NOS 5881’s or 6550’s for an additional charge- subject to availability and brands vary.

OG (Original Gangster)

The Audio Eyra OG provides the player exceptional tonal response, versatility and compact design that is suited for the local gig, tour or studio session. The Original Gangster was developed by Tim Thompson in 2022 based on circuitry influenced by vintage Gibson amplifiers’ pre-amp tube - the 6SJ7-GT. Given its almost “hi-fi” capabilities and unique single-ended driver and output section were devised to take that performance to very usable output levels.

This Class A amplifier provides the musician with rich and complex tone that is vibrant with musical information. The Circuit’s transparency maintains the individual instrument’s characteristics throughout the volume range, no matter the level of overdrive. Speed and Sensitivity live within this chassis.

The first front panel control is the input attenuator. It’s purpose? To tame hot input signals that may be present from various pedals. This provides provides a control to tweak the interface between outboard effects and the reaction of the pre-amp. Second, the user can control the internal compression of the 6SJ7 or 6SK7 pre-amp tube. Tone and Volume controls round out the front panel interface.

On the rear panel you will finds a selector switch that will move the rectification from tube to solid state. This adds further flexibility in attack and full-volume feel. The user can substitute 5AR4, 5U4GB, or 5Y3GT rectifiers for various levels of tightness and/or “brown sound”.

"Penny" - Green Eyed Monster (GEM)

Our little, unconventional, Green-Eyed Monster.

This cabinet is a one-of-a-kind from our upholstery team! Covered in a copper micro-suede and dressed with chrome, lipped corners.

The pre-amp is our beloved 6SJ7GT pentode driving a dual triode 6SL7GT into a single-ended output section featuring a 6L6WXT. The power section utilizes a 5U4GB rectifier. The output is about 20-25, depending on the output tube selection.

The depth of instrumentality in this combo is quite astounding. If you’re looking for a balanced sound that emphasizes lush and beautiful, over-driven mid-range while maintaining detail and clarity... look no further! Front panel controls are.

Input Sensitivity - Fine tune how hard you slam the front end with this control.

Compression - Control the internal compression of the 6SJ7 tube by adjusting this knob.
